Heardle: Song Of The Day, Daily clues And answer (October 14, 2022)

With the popularity of the word-guessing game Wordle, which was released in October 2021, its format quickly expanded into interesting variations. Heardle, for example, is a musical guessing game that resembles the 2012 hit SongPop combined with Wordle’s format.
According to the game’s website, Heardle will play snippets of the intro to a different song by “a long list of popularly streamed artists” every day. The first snippet is only one second long, and you only get one if you want to guess correctly on the first try. They get progressively longer from the second snippet until the sixth and final try, which will play 16 seconds of the song. You can also skip a few tries if you think the snippet is too short, but be careful not to run out of guesses.
Although all of the songs in Heardle’s database are by popular artists on streaming services, it can be difficult to guess, especially if you don’t listen to mainstream music or the radio on a regular basis. If you’re having trouble remembering where you heard that intro before, a few hints about the song and artist might help.
We’ve got you covered, thankfully.

Heardle Answer For May 16, 2022
Today’s Heardle answer is “American Boy” by Estelle (featuring Kanye West).
This was a difficult one. The first 16 seconds of the song are devoted entirely to a soundscape. There are no lyrics or even a beat to help you understand it. I’m sure I could have guessed it if I’d heard some actual music, but my four-day streak of first-time guesses is over.
You can hear the song in its entirety below. It’s a good way to kick off the week.
